Leopard Love

As a personal stylist, the dangerous thing about helping other people shop is that, invariably, I can't help but spot things along the way that I want to buy for myself.

Case in point: helping my fussiest client (my mum) look for shoes for my brother's wedding.

She was trying on a couple of pairs in Dune when a pair of cheeky, pink, leopard print heels caught my eye in the sale rack.

Like all great love stories, I wasn't looking for pink leopard print heels and I certainly didn't need a pair of pink leopard print heels. In fact, I was perfectly content with my current (non-pink) leopard print heels. But none of this mattered. As soon as I saw them, logic went out the window and I knew they were coming home with me.

To be honest, had I seen these shoes on the website, I would probably have scrolled right past them. The photo from the website really doesn't do them justice.

However, it was love at first sight and, just like Cinderella, I tried them on, they fitted perfectly and we're going to live happily ever after together in a big castle! Okay, castle might be a slight exaggeration but a girl can dream...

I've been wearing mine with either jeans or my leather leggings or leather joggers, both by H&M.

I got these leather (well, imitation leather) joggers from H&M last September and I've worn them so many times. They were only £24.99 so I've definitely had my money's worth from them.

I've been loving Missguided knitwear recently, especially these fab off the shoulder sweaters. They are only £15 and come in loads of colours and this dusky pink one goes perfectly with my new heels.

It's safe to say that I've been obsessed with hats recently and this fedora, again from Missguided, goes perfectly with the laidback, slouchy sweater.

Sadly, the Dune pink leopard print heels are no longer available on the website although you might still be able to get them in store if you're really quick!

However, they do have the same shoes in blue. It would be ridiculous if I bought these too, right? But they're only £23. And they have my size. And they fit really well. And they're so pretty. And they have magically appeared in my shopping bag. Ooops!

If your heart is now set on some pink leopard print heels though (honestly don't know I survived for so long without), then you're gonna love these Miss KG heels. They are also on sale so don't say I'm not good to you! I'm also loving the ball type thingy on the front and the mix of pastel colours - you're going to be wearing these all summer long, trust me - I have them too!

If money is no object, these Sophia Webster heels are super cute too. Sophia Webster really does fun and quirky heels like no other...

I now feel that the only accessory that will really complete my ensemble is the Charlotte Simone Bon-Bon bag. It's impossibly impratical but sublimely beautiful. What's not to love?

Afterall, a girl can never have too many ridiculous accessories...
